Infrastructure: (Blake)
Thinking of pod structure as more of task based approach

PhaseGate Management:
List of Jobs that actually go on, would like to fill this out over the next few days.
(Spreadsheet) number of hands needed, number of hands on Playa at the time

Modeling and budgeting for Steam Sub and dome extension
Trying to find the best way to raise the dome: $2500 project
$1500 for tower
$1000 for canvas and conduit

Tristram – Netting
Design decided upon at netting-specific mtg.
Ordered net this time in correct sized, by all opinions strong enough,
Problem is how to attach to dome – modified to hang it from the dome by sheathing the cross beams, preassembled the dome would be pre-threaded.

How do people get up to it?
Couple pieces of 2x4 connect at 2 vertices on big U bolts

Structural integrity of netting questioned. T will send out specs to list.

Test set up week after firefly, load test.

Cost estimate: 26 pieces of conduit (1.24 or 1.5), one 70 ft length of vinyl coated

SteamSub
Budget: insulating material fiberglass reinforced polyisosanulate foam –
Using 12 panels, (want to have 3-5 uses) – $500-600 for structure, heating $200-300
Shape will be degenerative torus – dip will take care of extra space

160 man-hours

Back to Pete:
Boston Burning Truck
The only way this camp can HAPPEN!

AutoSub and members take up about ½ of one of the trucks!

Trucks normally leave 2 weeks before gate open at Burning Man

TALK TO CRIS WAGNER ABOUT VOLUNTEERING FOR THE TRUCK!

Art Pod
GRRLZ
$750 for 4 panels and a ring to decorate the inside of the dome, ring starts
Canvas - $370, paint over 2 weekends

Sewing 3 machines (Doug has 2 machines, one heavy enough for canvas)
10 people,

Painting 8 people, 2 weekends

Pecan will send out more detailed e-mail

Storage
We spent ~ $2500 last year on storage, renting the truck, diesel, washing the truck.

Ranch guy is starting up a business called Art Car Support, run off of the Old Iverson ranch (www.IvesonRanch.com)
He is offering to store what ever we need to store for $2000 a year.
We would have to buy a container to put it in.
Includes making sure nothing gets set on fire, drop off and pick up on Playa including if they drop off the containers for us then come mid week and drop off more water/fire wood.

Water: if we show up a day before we need our stuff we can fill up our drums – (What is your water refresh rate?) any of us who are in the camp can camp on his land any time year round.

Need a container!

Can buy containers that are road worthy

He will find and buy a #1 container 20x8x10. Cover all fees for $2500

Alternatively, if we don’t want to buy one this year he will rent one for $1500/year

If we want to go through him and buy a container – will have to pay him $4500 this year

Meet the guy and feel him out?

Blake will check into finding a container

Need to get him an answer before Firefly
Captain Strange could fly out and meet him….
Pete will email Hannah and Blurry and see if they are up for a road trip.

This guy helps around the ranch, is the burning man liaison.

Can art car people vouch for him?
Pete will check references….

Generator
Haven’t heard from Pretzel if other camps want to pitch in.

Gasoline generators that are in Desiccant’s possession…
Need a different one…. Need a diesel or a new beefy one.
Camp needs about 10 kw

If we rebuild these two, need a third work horse.

What were we as a camp willing to spend on the village diesel? $1000

2 benefits to the village:
Power (ASub)
Containers (Everybody else)

Desiccant ARRIVES!
One generator needs a governor.

Get an estimate in the next 2 weeks.

NEED someone to take possession of geni’s and take them to a small engine specialist.
Noah and Blake are on it – estimate before Firefly

Entertainment FiG
Will be helped by KimBeth who will be running UnSomnia Pod

Only received a few replies.
